Presentation Guideline
Oral Presentation Guidelines
Each paper (except keynote speeches) will be allocated a total of 20 minutes (including 15 minutes of oral presentation and 5 minutes of Question & Answer).
Audio Visual
A data projector connected to a computer will be provided in each session room, and we strongly encourage using PowerPoint-type presentations (.PPT, .PPTX, .PDF). The following equipment will be provided in all the session rooms:
- Data projector and screen(s)
- A computer that your presentation will be uploaded
- Microsoft Office 2010, PDF Reader, and VLC Media Player are available on the computers
- VGA port is available for connecting to your own laptop (* Mac users must bring adaptors)
- Lectern with microphone
Presenters must bring their presentation (USB stick or their own laptop) to the session room at least 15 minutes before the session starts. Presenters need to inform the session chair for their presentation. The presentation must be ready before bringing to the presentation room. No editing is allowed.
All computers used in the presentation rooms are Windows 7 computers. For the presentations having VDO content and/or created with Mac, please come to the session room earlier to make sure your presentation works properly.
Intellectual Properties
All files on the computers are deleted at the end of each session.
Recording (photographing, audio taping, or videotaping) any presentation/session will be prohibited, except where it is brief, unobtrusive, and with the prior permission of the speaker and Chair.
